Planmeca Promax 3D is a new generation x-rays device, which offers a full range of x-ray imaging by taking digital panoramic, digital cephalometric and 3D head imaging. It has many applications in orthodontics, dentistry, endodontics, dental implants, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and in general diagnostic of pathology of oral cavity and craniofacial cluster. With minimum radiation it provides images of excellent quality and precision, superior to Computed Tomography (CT). With a single rotation/scanning and by using conical beam strikes it gives the accurate depiction of the chosen area. It is an excellent tool for diagnosing diseases of the ears, sinuses and respiratory system, and has also applications in both orthopedic and plastic surgery.
